Bernardo Silva wants Manchester City to develop the habit of defending trophies year after year as they prepare to face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final.
City travel to Wembley on Sunday, live on Sky Sports, hoping to win the trophy for the second consecutive season, having beaten Arsenal 3-0 in the 2018 final.
Pep Guardiola's side are also level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League and have the opportunity to claim an unprecedented quadruple this season, with the Champions League and FA Cup also in their sights.
Silva insists City have enough squad depth to compete for all four trophies this season and believes they are also capable of defending them in the 2019-20 campaign.
"That is one of our main goals - not only winning it once but to keep winning and winning," said Silva.
"We know we have the squad to do that but our opponents are very strong and it won't be an easy job. We will do our best to try."
City thrashed Chelsea 6-0 in the Premier League earlier this month, but Silva insists that match will have little bearing on the Carabao Cup final.
"To be honest we should forget that match because it won't happen again. We are not expecting the same result," he said.
"We are playing against one of the best sides in the world, even though lately their results are not the best for them.
"Against those kinds of players you can never relax, and if you give them time to think, time to play and time to decide they will destroy you. So, we have to play with the same intensity and try to win another trophy."
City came from behind to beat Schalke 3-2 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday, courtesy from late goals from Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.
Silva insists City did not underestimate the German side, who are currently struggling in 14th in the Bundesliga.
"I think we know how good the teams are in the Champions League," he said.
"When you play Champions League you know you are playing against the best teams, the best players and the best crowds, so we were not expecting an easy game and that's what happened.
"We were very happy with the result and now we want to finish the job and go through to the quarter-finals."
