Gerrard says his priority is to sort out Rangers' defence

New Rangers manager Steven Gerrard said it is "time to walk the walk" after completing his first day on the job.
The former England captain spent Wednesday in meetings at Ibrox, before leaving with assistant manager Gary McAllister shortly before 5pm.
"It is a huge club and I am very excited but now it is time to work and stop talking - it is time to walk the walk," Gerrard told Sky Sports News.
"It was the first day so [there were] a lot of meetings and a lot of people to meet. [I am] getting used to the environment and the people within it.
"I do not want to say too much. It is time to get to work now."
Rangers have been very active in the transfer market as Gerrard seeks to build a club capable of challenging Celtic.
Connor Goldson became the club's sixth summer signing on Wednesday when he completed a £3m move from Brighton.
The 25-year-old defender joins Nicola Katic, Ovie Ejaria, Jamie Murphy, Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield as new arrivals for next season.
Speaking about the additions, Gerrard said: "Yeah, listen, we are doing okay. We are trying to make some changes and trying to make the team and the squad a lot stronger.
"Obviously, the defensive area is what we are looking to sort out first."
When asked where else he will look to strengthen, Gerrard said: "You will see that in the coming weeks yourself."
