Midfielder hails side after Mali score four goals to earn stunning draw

Mali midfielder Seydou Keita hailed his side after the Eagles came from four goals down to draw with hosts Angola in the opening game of the African Cup of Nations. The hosts were firmly in command after a first half Flavio Amado brace and penalties from Gilberto and Manucho. But substitute Keita launched the Eagles' astonishing comeback in the 79th minute, before Frederic Kanoute added a second eight minutes later. Keita then got his second of the night and Mustapha Yatabare grabbed a last-gasp equaliser to complete the stunning comeback. Barcelona midfielder Keita, who also conceded Angola's second penalty, told Eurosport: "There was a lot of pressure on us. I conceded a penalty and they kept scoring.

Couldn't imagine

"I just couldn't imagine we could fight back like that. "We wanted to win but of course we are happy to get a point in the end. "We were bad in the first half, mentally we weren't really at the races. "It didn't look like we would get anything but luckily we managed to get a point and we are happy. "It's good for us mentally, our confidence, but we have to be careful to not make too many mistakes. "There is a lot to correct before the next match."
