Hooper and Robinson keep Hereford on track

Wrexham relinquished their place in the Football League courtesy of a 2-0 defeat at Edgar Street, which strengthens Hereford's hold on an automatic promotion place. Brian Little's Dragons fell behind three minutes before the break to a goal from Gary Hooper and never had the required drive to keep alive their survival hopes in the second period. Hereford's Theo Robinson added a second for the Bulls on the hour mark, to cement a win that will help them fend off the threat of the League Two promotion pack. The result leaves Wrexham six points behind Dagenham with two games to play, but the Daggers' final game is against 23rd-placed Mansfield, ensuring that one of those sides will make it to 44 points and thus condemning the North Wales side to the drop.
