A superb 17-minute hat-trick from Lee Hughes helped dominant Oldham to a 4-0 win over Cheltenham.
The striker finished explosively in the 45th-minute after a defence-splitting pass from Lewis Alessandra, before grabbing his second after 50 minutes, sweeping in from six yards after Andy Liddell's knock-back.
He then headed home Neal Eardley's cross for his third just 12 minutes later, while Danny Whitaker completed the rout with a fourth after being set up in the 85th minute by Chris O'Grady.
Earlier, both Hughes and midfielder Whitaker had hit a post as the home side wasted a string of chances.
The closest Cheltenham came was in the 58th minute when Latics keeper Mark Crossley did well to keep out a close range effort from Jennison Myrie-Williams.
