Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Plymouth Argyle and Scunthorpe United.

Managerless Plymouth beat Scunthorpe 3-2 at a sold out Home Park but both sides were relegated from League One.

Argyle got off to a perfect start with an eighth minute goal scored by Plymouth-born central defender Lloyd Jones.

Iron keeper Jak Alnwick pushed a Ruben Lameiras shot onto the bar and when it bounced back, on-loan Luton central defender Jones met it with a downward header.

Scunthorpe responded with Matthew Lund hitting post in the 16th minute with a low strike to the right of diving keeper Matt Macey.

The home side forged further ahead when Antoni Sarcevic teed up top score Freddie Ladapo to loop the ball over Alnwick in the 35th minute.

The Iron got back into the game before half time when Kyle Wootton crashed the ball home after Lee Novak's spectacular overhead kick was blocked.

They then scored a controversial second on the hour as Argyle's injured on-loan keeper Macey tried to roll the ball out to the touchline. Josh Morris intercepted the ball and looped it over the keeper into the far corner; Macey was replaced by reserve keeper Michael Cooper.

Argyle surged back ahead in the 70th minutes as playmaker Graham Carey first timed Lameiras' pass with a venomous strike into the roof of the net.

Lameiras and Ladapo both hit the post in stoppage time but it was not enough as Argyle - who finished level on 50 points with 20th placed Wimbledon and 19th placed Southend - were relegated on goal difference.
