Peterborough’s League One top scorers continued their personal dual with Ivan Toney and Mo Eisa both scoring to earn Darren Ferguson’s side a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Portsmouth.
Toney opened the scoring on 10 minutes when Oli Hawkins took an air shot at Dan Butler's cross and the unmarked striker could barely miss from a yard out to register his 14th goal of the season.
Lee Brown got Portsmouth on level terms on 26 minutes. The full-back drilled a free-kick left-footed under the jumping Peterborough wall for his first goal for Pompey.
Seven minutes after the restart John Marquis played in Ellis Harrison to put Pompey in front with a low angled shot inside the area that trickled over the line.
Eisa rescued a point with an emphatic header from six yards out from Butler's pin-point cross for his 13th league goal of the campaign, matching Toney for the division lead.
In the end the draw seemed like a fair result for these two teams with promotion aspirations.
