Millers wait on Elliott; Riley out for Robins

Rotherham are waiting on the fitness of Tom Elliott, while Cheltenham will be without Martin Riley. On-loan striker Elliott is struggling with a knee injury but is hoping to recover in time to feature. Summer signing Johnny Mullins, yet to appear following his switch from Stockport, has not fully recovered following a calf injury and the game is likely to come too soon for him. Centre-half Nick Fenton is still struggling with a similar problem and will definitely miss out. Strikers Ryan Taylor and Tom Pope and midfielder Dale Tonge, still waiting for their first appearances of the season, all remain sidelined with metatarsal injuries.

Cheltenham news

Defender Riley has been ruled out for three to four weeks with a minor hamstring tear. David Bird replaced Riley when he limped out of last weekend's 3-2 victory over Crewe and is expected to start in his place, although Andy Gallinagh is also in contention Theo Lewis was given the all-clear to resume training earlier this week following a mild bout of glandular fever but the game will probably come too soon for him. Boss Mark Yates expects to alter his tactical approach for the Don Valley Stadium clash as his side look to build on their impressive start to the season. "I don't think I'm going to go with a (midfield) diamond this weekend," Yates told Cheltenham's official website. "I might change my shape a little because they have some good wide players. I have one or two decisions to make. "We have to make sure we don't get carried away with a pleasing start and I'll be asking the players to maintain their standards."
