Hull head coach Nigel Adkins has revealed midfielder Jackson Irvine could play against Sheffield United. The Australia international suffered an Achilles injury in the first half of the 1-0 defeat to Leeds on Tuesday and was initially described as doubtful for the game at Bramall Lane by Adkins.
The Hull boss has since said Irvine has a chance of being fit for Saturday and goalkeeper George Long, who missed the Leeds game through illness, is expected to make the squad. Midfielder Dan Batty will be pushing for a starting place after being in the squad to face Leeds.
