Walsall could hand debuts to their three deadline-day loan signings against MK Dons.
Defenders Krystian Bielik and Jack Fitzwater joined from Arsenal and West Brom respectively while forward Julien Ngoy signed from Stoke. Fellow new signing Justin Shaibu, who moved on loan from Brentford this week, is pushing for his first start.
Nicky Devlin missed Tuesday's 3-1 defeat at Blackburn with a hamstring injury and could return while Florent Cuvelier (ankle) is a doubt.
Dan Micciche takes charge of his first league game as MK Dons boss with the club looking to move out of the relegation zone. Micciche bolstered his squad with the loan signings of experienced defender Elliott Ward of Blackburn and Stoke's promising young full-back Josh Tymon.
Both go straight into the squad for the trip to Walsall, although Chuks Aneke is missing. The striker was sent off at Northampton and serves the second of a three-match ban.
Walsall have managed just one victory in their last seven meetings with MK Dons in League One (D3 L3), winning none of the last four (D3 L1).
MK Dons are unbeaten in their last three league trips to Walsall (W2 D1).
Walsall have taken just one win from their last eight league games (D2 L5), and have lost each of their last two games 3-1.
MK Dons are winless in eight away league games (D2 L6). They haven't gone nine away league games without a win since February 2016 (14 games).
Chuks Aneke has netted four goals in his last five league appearances against Walsall, including one for MK Dons in the 1-1 draw between these two teams in October. Only against Peterborough United (five goals) has he scored more in the EFL.
