Will Grigg hopes to return for Wigan's Sky Bet Championship home game with Swansea.
The Northern Ireland striker managed a late cameo appearance in the 1-0 defeat at Norwich on Saturday after suffering minor fitness problems.
Callum McManaman was also back on the bench at Norwich after being unavailable for three games, while Dan Burn is close to a return following a foot problem. Latics captain Sam Morsy is set to make his 300th career appearance.
Swansea manager Graham Potter could change a winning side with Leroy Fer and Martin Olsson in contention. Potter has managed the game-time of two of his most experienced players this season and were both on the bench against QPR on Saturday.
The Swans romped to a season-best 3-0 win, but the experience of two international players could be important against opponents yet to lose at home this season. Jay Fulton showed he had overcome his recent head injury by coming on as a substitute against QPR and scoring the third goal.
Wigan have lost their last three league meetings with Swansea, all in the Premier League between March 2012 and May 2013.
Swansea haven't lost a league match against Wigan since January 2001, winning three and drawing one since.
Wigan are unbeaten in their last 12 home league games (W8 D4), winning their last three in a row.
Swansea are looking to secure three consecutive league clean sheets for the first time since December 2015.
Oli McBurnie has been directly involved in 60% of Swansea's 10 Championship goals so far this season (4 goals, 2 assists).
David Prutton predicts: 1-0 (13/2)
