After playing a part in Liverpool's dramatic late victory over Tottenham, Mohamed Salah hit back at his critics who say he's having a bad season.
Toby Alderweireld nudged the ball over the line after Hugo Lloris had parried Salah's header into his path, meaning that with six games remaining Liverpool lead Manchester City by two points, though Pep Guardiola's side do have a game in hand.
Despite his clear involvement in the winning goal, Salah has just one goal in his last 11 appearances in all competitions but has scored 20 goals and racked up eight assists this season.
When quizzed by Jamie Carragher about his current state of confidence, Salah pointed towards that healthy overall record and thinks the criticism he receives is unfair compared to other players.
He said: "I didn't score for a couple of games but there are some players who has the same number of goals as me but people are saying those players are having the best season of their life.
"There are three or four players and no-one talks about them - they say they have a good season and I'm the only one that has had a bad season. I want to win the Premier League - that is the most important thing to me."
Liverpool took the lead through Roberto Firmino's glancing header from Andrew Robertson's superb delivery, but Spurs levelled with 20 minutes left through Lucas Moura's strike before the freakish late winner.
Carragher admitted Liverpool were fortunate to run out with all three points in a game where Tottenham created plenty of late openings.
Salah agreed that the table toppers weren't at their best.
"You do not always have to play good but the important thing is to get the points," he said.
"The big teams always find a way to get the points and that's what we did today.
"Each game now is tough. You just have to keep yourself in the race. Our next game is against Southampton and they are fighting for their lives.
"You have to take each game as a challenge. Tottenham played good and they came very close to getting a point. Now we take it game by game."
