Hull City are set to appoint Stuart White as their new chief scout, Sky Sports News understands.
White is being brought in to assist head of recruitment Lee Darnbrough, who was appointed in June to re-establish the club's beleaguered squad following relegation to the Sky Bet Championship.
White was head of recruitment at Wigan in his last job prior to their relegation to Sky Bet League One, and he previously worked with Darnbrough at Burnley and West Brom.
Hull have so far made five new additions: Kevin Stewart from Liverpool, Fraizer Campbell on a free transfer, Czech centre-back Ondrej Mazuch and youngsters Callum Burton and Liam Edwards.
Sky sources understand they are now set to add Chelsea's Michael Hector on a season-long loan.
Hull have lost a host of first-team regulars, however, including Curtis Davies, Tom Huddlestone, Andrew Robertson, Ahmed Elmohamady, Josh Tymon, Harry Maguire and the goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic.
