Team news, stats and prediction ahead of Norwich vs Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Team news

Norwich head coach Daniel Farke has no fresh selection concerns ahead of Sunday's Premier League match against Sheffield United.

Alex Tettey, who had been nursing a quad muscle problem, came on for the second half of the 2-1 defeat at Southampton, so is pressing for a recall along with Emi Buendia and Marco Stiepermann. Grant Hanley (groin) and Timm Klose (knee) continue their rehabilitation, along with Josip Drmic (hamstring).

A look at some of the key stats surrounding this weekend's Premier League action, including the Manchester derby and Arsenal’s trip to West Ham

Blades boss Chris Wilder is likely to restore the in-form strike partnership of Lys Mousset and David McGoldrick. The pair were rested for the 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle on Thursday in favour of Billy Sharp and Oli McBurnie.

Wilder is not expected to make any other changes, so it should be the same side that held Wolves 1-1 at Molineux last weekend.

Opta stats

  • Norwich have won three of their four Premier League meetings with Sheffield United (L1), though this is the first such meeting since April 1994 when the Blades won 1-0 at Carrow Road.
  • Sheffield United are unbeaten in their last two away league games against Norwich (W1 D1), having lost five in a row before that. They came from behind twice to draw 2-2 in this fixture in the Championship last season.
  • The away side has won the last three Premier League meetings between Norwich and Sheffield United (two wins for Norwich, one for Sheffield United).
  • Norwich haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their last 11 Premier League home games, conceding at least twice in each of the last six (W1 D1 L4). The last team to concede 2+ goals in seven consecutive Premier League home games was Wolves (11 between December 2011-April 2012).
  • Sheffield United are still unbeaten away from home in the Premier League this season, though six of their seven games have ended level (W1). The last time the Blades remained unbeaten in their opening eight away games of a season was in League One in 2012-13, while the last time they did so in the top-flight was in 1899-00 (first 10).
  • Norwich striker Teemu Pukki has been involved in 11 goals in his first 15 Premier League appearances (8 goals, 3 assists), the best return by a player for a newly-promoted club since 2015-16, when Odion Ighalo was also involved in 11 in his first 15 games for Watford.
  • Sheffield United have avoided defeat in all seven Premier League away games this season (W1 D6) - they only avoided defeat in five of their 19 away games in their last Premier League season in 2006-07 (W3 D2 L14).
  • Daniel Farke is yet to see Norwich keep a clean sheet in his seven home Premier League games - the last manager to have a longer run without a clean sheet from his first home match in the competition was Mike Phelan in 2016-17 with Hull City (10 games).

Sheffield United are unbeaten on the road. Norwich have picked themselves up and they score goals, but Sheffield United will defend well and could have some joy on the counter. That could get them over the line at Carrow Road.
