Wycombe 1-0 Shrewsbury: Rolando Aarons strike keeps Chairboys top

Wycombe remained top of League One with a 1-0 home win against 10-man Shrewsbury.

Newcastle loanee Rolando Aarons bagged his first goal for the club to end the Shrews' four-game unbeaten run as the visitors had Ro-Shaun Williams sent off late on.

Gareth Ainsworth's side are now three points ahead of Ipswich, who have two games in hand, at the summit.

Sam Ricketts' visitors had the best of the opening exchanges at Adams Park, with Scottish duo Donald Love and Jason Cummings both striking wide early on.

Wanderers' goalkeeper Ryan Allsop did well to keep Cummings out later in the half.

Shrewsbury ended the game with 10 men as Williams picked up two stoppage-time yellow cards - the first for dissent and the second for barging Akinfenwa.
