Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has signed a two-year contract extension to keep him at the club until 2024.
The Frenchman's deal was due to expire this summer but he has now extended his stay to go beyond a decade at the club, having joined from Lyon in August 2012.
The 35-year-old had been free to talk to foreign clubs this month, with less than six months left on his previous deal.
Lloris told Tottenham's official website: "I feel really happy, obviously for me, but also for my family, to extend my stay in London and at Spurs for the next two years.
"I feel it's a privilege to play football and to play for such a big club like Spurs. Also, the relationship with the fans is important for me. In the last few months, I've felt their support even more than before. So, the decision was really easy to take for me.
"I'm really happy to be in this situation and to be focused now on the next months and years, to continue our work and to continue the development of our team.
"I believe we are in a new process under Antonio Conte, with strong team basics to give us a foundation and a structure. Then, it's up to the players to show their quality. Step by step, we'll then see improvement.
"My wish is to become even more competitive and to close the gap with the best teams in England, and why not get back into the Champions League? This season, this is my personal target, to help the team and the club to continue in that way, and to enjoy football.
"Now, it's the beginning of a new process and hopefully, with the help of Antonio and his staff, with his experience, with his energy, with his discipline, we're going to make something important for the club."
France's World Cup-winning captain Lloris is still yet to lift any silverware with Spurs after losing the 2019 Champions League final and two League Cup finals.
Conte: Important Lloris agreed new deal
Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte said it was a good sign Lloris had agreed to extend his deal at the club until 2024.
"It is important our captain renews his contract, not only for one year, but two years," said the Italian in his pre-match press conference ahead of Spurs' game at Chelsea on Super Sunday.
"It means the club and the whole environment trust Hugo and he is a point of reference for the whole team, me and the club.
"And it was right to sign a new contract for two years and he is one of the most important goalkeepers in the world, he has won a lot with his national team.
"He is captain of Tottenham, so it was right to renew his contract and the club was very good to do this."
