Gareth Bale needs wages on par with the world's top players to leave Real Madrid, a source close to the Welshman has told Sky Sports News.

However, a source has told Sky Sports News that it would "take something very huge and special" for Bale to be tempted away from Madrid, possibly an offer that would "come close to making him the highest-paid player in the world".
