Tottenham transfer news and rumours

Transfer news, rumours and gossip from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Spurs are in talks to sign Joe Rodon from Swansea City.

In a surprise development deep into Deadline Day, a source has told Sky Sports News that a deal is being considered for the 22-year-old, with a fee between £7m up to £18m under discussion.

But Spurs have time on their hands, with the domestic-only window for trading between Premier League and EFL clubs open until October 16 - although Europa League squads must be submitted by 11pm on October 6.

Prior to the interest in Rodon, Tottenham were believed to be interested in Milan Skriniar, and Spurs, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan were three of a number of clubs pushing to sign Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.

Meanwhile, Hoffenheim have signed Ryan Sessegnon on loan.

Juan Foyth has signed a new contract at Tottenham before joining Villarreal on loan for the rest of the season.

In the final week of the window, Spurs have also signed Brazilian striker Carlos Vinicius on a season-long loan from Benfica, with an option to buy him for around £36m.

Vinicius joined Benfica from Napoli for £15m last summer and is expected to serve as a back-up to Harry Kane.

Could Danny Rose leave the club, having barely featured since Jose Mourinho's arrival last year?

"Danny Rose has always been hard to move on in previous windows," Sky Sports News' Paul Gilmour said. "There has been talk of Porto being interested. We will have to wait to see what happens over the next few hours."

Keep an eye on Dele Alli?

Sky Sports News reporter Paul Gilmour:

"Dele Alli is the big one today we're keeping an eye on. Paris Saint-Germain have had two loan bids rejected and Tottenham sources have been adamant that he won't leave in this window. Jose Mourinho has said that it will take a mammoth effort to get into his squad."
